Today's exercises were helpful—slightly challenging, but I really enjoyed them because that’s how I can learn and improve. I truly appreciate the effort made to communicate with me despite my broken Korean. We had a wonderful time, and I’m looking forward to my next class.
My class with you was amazing! You kept the pace fun and engaging, and your positive energy really encouraged me to speak Korean with confidence. The post-class notes and homework were super helpful for my review. I’m excited to keep learning and improving with your guidance.
Class was great today! Much needed review of weather-related vocabularies and practicing of grammar point -겠어요. We were able to incorporate some Korean speaking & listening - which is what I am most looking forward to improving.
Sean 선생님, 감사합니다.
Hi! 😊
Thank you for today’s lesson—It was really helpful! I practiced a lot of new vocabulary like 어디, 기숙사, 서점, 책, 공책, 연필, 책상, 의자, and the position words like 앞, 뒤, 옆, 위, 아래, 사이, and 가운데. I also learned more about using 에 and 에서 correctly, which is starting to make more sense now.
I’ll keep practicing and reading everything aloud so it becomes more natural. Thank you for your patience and for explaining everything so clearly! I really enjoyed the lesson. See you next time! ☺️

I liked how she went over the homework and made sure that you understand the grammar that was introduced in the previous lesson. I also like how she taught the new vocabulary that showed up in the homework as well.

Thank you, 선생님, for today’s lesson! I learned more about how to address people who sell things at the market, which had confused me for a long time 😂 Although it was a side topic, you did a great job explaining my funny question!

#34 — It’s been almost a week since I last had class with Shannon because of the Thanksgiving holiday. It feels good to come back and continue learning Korean. I always have a lot of questions about how to use certain words/grammar, which is why it usually takes me 3–4 classes to finish one unit. However, I actually really like this pace; it feels much better than rushing through the textbook. I appreciate how patient Shannon is in answering all my questions and checking whether the example sentences I come up with sound natural in Korean. 開心又能夠跟Shannon一起上韓文課了!在上課的時候我都會問一些延伸問題,但Shannon都會補充很多我想知道的韓文說法跟做一些相似詞的類比。雖然一個章節要花3-4堂課才會上完,但我很喜歡這樣的學習速度,可以很仔細的學習打好基礎:)

감사합니다 코코 씨 ... thank you again for explaining the differences between 어서 / 얼른 / 빨리 ... I'm really interested in learning more . also the different between 다가 vs -고 나서 from your notes . Right " i always hear koreans say use 다가 on their conversat" It's clear understand now is used for planning the future or spending time, -다가 has a special nuance called "Transition".
( "I will spend some time doing A, and then naturally flow into B." ) eventually , I settled all it. Hey, yeah, I plan on going to Busan next year. After I arrange my schedule, I'll definitely ask you for a restaurant recommendation list. Let's meet up at a seaside coffee shop for some quality time spent together ^^

I've been studying with Zuri 씨 for sometime now, and I always look forward to the next session. She finds ways to give me to the tools to relate activities in my daily life and communicate them in Korean both written and verbal. The daily journal in Hangul that I keep and we review has accelerated my learning, and the better I'm able to communicate, the more I want to learn. Thank you Zuri 씨!

I had a great lesson with Sooji today. I really enjoyed starting with some small talk, and she corrected my mistakes throughout the session. Even the smallest topics always lead to new grammar points, vocabulary, and useful connectors, so I feel like I learn something every time. The lesson was both enjoyable and interesting.

Today was my ninth lesson. Although I started learning simple sentence structures back in lesson six, the learning process is becoming more challenging, with more details to pay attention to and remember. Nevertheless, I still enjoy the lessons because my teacher continues to explain the topic marker (은/는) and the subject marker (이/가) in detail, even though we have already covered them in previous lessons. This really helps me better understand the different ways these two markers are used.
今天是我的第九堂课。虽然从第六课开始我就已经接触简单句型了,但随着学习的深入,内容变得越来越有挑战性,需要注意和记住的细节也越来越多。
不过我依然很享受上课的过程,因为老师即使在之前的课程中已经讲过主题助词(은/는)和主语助词(이/가),仍然会持续进行详细讲解。这让我对这两种助词在不同语境下的用法有了更清楚、更深入的理解。

Sorry homework not done again. It will all be complete by next class. The everyday vocabulary from this lesson is great. When we cover these expressions I start to hear them when I am watching Korean content.

I wasn't able to have class for a few weeks because of the holidays so I struggled a bit to remember things, but Shannon supported me and gave me lots of time to try to think and recall the answers. I really appreciated that she gave me that time insteade of just saying the answer.

There is one thing I really need Lia and Lia's students to know - I really appreciate Lia's tutoring. I tried to study Japanese hiragana and katakana when I was 15 years old but it turned out I could only remember 5 hiraganas after 18 years. 근데, it only took 1 month to learn all the Korean alphbets. You can't imagine how much I am so enjoying and passionate in participating Lia's Korean classes now. 고마워요!!

I enjoy my lessons with Kihoon as always, and I can't believe it has been 3 years since we studied together! I always look forward to my sessions after a long day at work—spending that time with Kihoon always makes me feel refreshed. Kihoon is such a wonderful person, and I don’t think there’s been a single lesson where I haven’t laughed while learning and chatting with him. Beyond being an amazing tutor, he’s become a friend I genuinely enjoy spending time with during our lessons

안녕하세요 선생님!
This lesson was really fun. We had lots of conversations in both English and Korean.
Yes I started learning how to play the trumpet when I was 6 years old - a very long time ago! My children enjoy listening to me playing the trumpet, but often say it's too noisy! 😂
I'm looking forward to our lesson next week.

Q3. How do I choose my Korean tutor?
If you have a clear idea of your criteria for choosing a tutor - such as any specific learning objectives, target cost for tutoring, etc. - you can use the search function to quickly find a tutor who suits your needs, and select “book trial” to set up your first Korean online lesson.
If you don't have time to find a tutor or aren't sure where to start, we can help with recommendations. Try using our tutor recommendation tool here, which will provide you with tutor matches according to your selected needs.
Q4. What's the right learning environment for me? Should I choose a Korean tutor who is a native speaker?
One of the best ways to learn Korean is to immerse yourself in an environment where you try to use only Korean.
However, if you do not currently have a solid base in spelling and/or vocabulary, we recommend you choose a bilingual tutor who speaks your target language and your native language, as you will likely have a better learning experience during your one-on-one private tutoring.
If you have a good range of vocabulary but lack the opportunity to practice, then we recommend you choose a native Korean tutor.
Q5. Learn Korean in the US - how do I find a local or online tutor?

Q6. How much will my online Korean class cost?
All tutoring fees are set by the Korean tutors themselves, and not by AT. Most of our Korean tutors charge USD$10-30 per hour.
You can also get matched with suitable Korean tutors who fit a specific budget. If the tutor’s fees work for you, you can buy a lesson package from them or start with a “trial lesson.”
Q7. How do I pay for my Korean lessons?
You can pay with PayPal or credit card (American Express, Mastercard, or Visa). For certain international markets (e.g. Taiwan), we also accept local methods of payment, such as payment via ATM or convenience store.
Q8. How many Korean lessons should I purchase?
If you have a short term goal, we recommend you purchase enough lessons that you can take classes consistently within your timeframe. If you need significant improvement to reach your goal, we recommend you an adequate number of lessons, and get into the habit of regular weekly learning! The more you put in, the more you get out of it!
