신 선생님 is really good at telling when I'm losing confidence and turning around a conversations so that it's boosted back up. She does it with skill rather than with words, so that you feel like you got there all by yourself, when she has really been guiding you all that time. That's what a good teacher is all about.

I really love your Korean Learning Tips, Koco, and I think you should join Instagram to show others. You are showing tips that every English-speaking person learning Korean is trying to understand.
I have learnt so much from you this year, and it is your support and patience why I can speak coherent sentences in Korean. Thank you so much for always having such high standards and helping me to achieve! Topik I in April - I can do it :))

Good review on my homework recording and writing and breakdown of the questions Who are you? And the words “as” “write” and “example” as well as the formal and informal/singular and plurals uses of “you”.

The progress I've made as a slow learner has been truly remarkable under your guidance. Your lessons, as always, were exceptional. Sentence practice was challenging for me but truly enjoyable. It helps me answer basic questions in proper grammatical sentences—love it! I'm looking forward even more to my next lesson and continued improvement.

I can only continue to recommend Hyemin's classes. I'm taking the classes for several weeks now and I can really feel the progress. I feel a lot less nervous than I used to do in Korean lessons, though she really challenges me with the activities during the lessons. I'm so glad I can take on these challenges while still feeling at ease.

Thank you for today’s lesson! 😊
I learned a lot of useful expressions such as 정말, 너무, 많이, 무척, 아주, and 엄청. We also practiced vocabulary about time, daily life, and activities, including 지난주, 지난 주말, 수업, 가수, 콘서트, 반 친구, 식당, 도서관, 시험, 오전, 오후, and 고향.
I also practiced verbs and expressions like 바빠요, 청소해요, 전화해요, 피곤해요, 늦게, 일찍, and 일어나요, which helped me talk more naturally about my routine. The grammar practice with past tense and -에 was very helpful.
The reading and speaking exercises were fun and useful, and I feel more confident using what I learned. I’ll review everything again and read aloud to practice pronunciation.
See you in the next class! ☺️📚

I had a wonderful time with Sooji today. I finally reorganised my understanding of how to use 는, 은, 이, 가 properly. Although I learned these particles in Book A five years ago, it took me a couple of years—and regular diary writing—to truly understand how to use them correctly in sentences. It’s difficult to gain a deep understanding without writing journals or a diary. Thank you, Sooji, for encouraging me to keep writing a diary, which I’ve benefited from so much.

She was phenomenal. She did a test to see where I was at and we practiced based of off that. She was also very patient with me. I tend to be really nervous when it comes to trying to practice but she was able to walk me through and assist me. Overall, great class~

The teacher is a very trustworthy and responsible person. Even though her eyes were uncomfortable, she still kept the commitment to teach the class as scheduled. I hope the teacher’s eyes will recover quickly. 선생님 건강하세요. 감사합니다.

Q3. How do I choose my Korean tutor?
If you have a clear idea of your criteria for choosing a tutor - such as any specific learning objectives, target cost for tutoring, etc. - you can use the search function to quickly find a tutor who suits your needs, and select “book trial” to set up your first Korean online lesson.
If you don't have time to find a tutor or aren't sure where to start, we can help with recommendations. Try using our tutor recommendation tool here, which will provide you with tutor matches according to your selected needs.
Q4. What's the right learning environment for me? Should I choose a Korean tutor who is a native speaker?
One of the best ways to learn Korean is to immerse yourself in an environment where you try to use only Korean.
However, if you do not currently have a solid base in spelling and/or vocabulary, we recommend you choose a bilingual tutor who speaks your target language and your native language, as you will likely have a better learning experience during your one-on-one private tutoring.
If you have a good range of vocabulary but lack the opportunity to practice, then we recommend you choose a native Korean tutor.

All tutoring fees are set by the Korean tutors themselves, and not by AT. Most of our Korean tutors charge USD$10-30 per hour.
You can also get matched with suitable Korean tutors who fit a specific budget. If the tutor’s fees work for you, you can buy a lesson package from them or start with a “trial lesson.”

You can pay with PayPal or credit card (American Express, Mastercard, or Visa). For certain international markets (e.g. Taiwan), we also accept local methods of payment, such as payment via ATM or convenience store.
Q8. How many Korean lessons should I purchase?
If you have a short term goal, we recommend you purchase enough lessons that you can take classes consistently within your timeframe. If you need significant improvement to reach your goal, we recommend you an adequate number of lessons, and get into the habit of regular weekly learning! The more you put in, the more you get out of it!
